A+ Certified Computer Technician Training

This course provides the student with a substantial foundation to take the industry standard test to become a certified computer technician. Many employers in the computer service industry desire this certification and holders of this certification generally command higher salaries. A+ certification shows competency in troubleshooting problems in both hardware and software. This course complements the computer hardware course also offered, but is primary aimed at preparing the student for the A+certification tests.

The course and the actual A+certification test are broken down into two major groups of five components, hardware and software.

In general the course will provide instruction on the actual test. The current hardware component covers hardware configuration, troubleshooting, safety issues, motherboard and processors, printers, prtable systems, and basic networking. The software component covers Windows 95, 98, 2000. It also lightly touches on Windows NT 4.0 and Linux.
